    "content": "I wish to disagree with the Member for Funyula, Hon. Wilberforce Oundo who suggested that somebody might have pushed or helped Ms. Wangui Muchiri to come up this far. I want to assure him that it is a matter of meritocracy. She is qualified, she has merit, she is a patriotic Kenyan, she is an international worker and is up to the task and she is a trailblazer. If we go to the results, how she performed in the interview, she performed at 85 per cent. The nearest contender only managed 72 marks. I assure Members that somebody who has merited an award from the US Government because of high performance, the Seal of the President of the United States Government and White House issued by President Barack Obama is not a joke. Ms. Muchiri was tasked with publicity and crusading for the visit of President Obama in Kenya and in Africa that was a very big success. She has also received other local and international awards and she deserves it. As a Committee, we were satisfied. Like all the other organisations that supported her and recommended her, we were satisfied that she is up to the task."
