"content": " Hon. Speaker, I beg to move that the Children Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 38 of 2021) be now read a Third Time. Hon. Speaker, as I move this Third Reading, I want to recognise the efforts the Members have put in this Bill. This is perhaps the longest Bill that this House has had to consider. It has taken a lot of time and effort. I believe we have had close to five Sessions at the Committee of the whole House uninterrupted. At last, we now have a Bill for the Children of Kenya. So, I want to congratulate Members here.We have done our best and I hope that the Senate can now take the remaining time before they break to agree with us, so that the 12th Parliament would have given the children of Kenya a Bill to ensure that their rights as given in the Constitution of Kenya 2010, are now anchored in a law that is modern, that updates the Children Act of 2001, which is 21 years old. Hon. Speaker, I beg to move and I request Hon. Wangwe to second."
