Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT Clause 172 of the Bill be amended by in sub clause (1) by— (a) inserting the words “in need of care and protection” immediately after the word “children” in paragraph (a); (b) deleting sub clause (1) and substituting therefor the following sub clauses— (ba) to promote long term parental care, with the goal of family reunification in the first instance; or (bb) accommodating children in alternative, safe and nurturing family relationships for long periods of time; The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
