Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT Clause 177 of the Bill be amended– (a) by deleting the word “Director” wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word “Secretary” (b) by deleting the word “unless” and substituting therefor the word “if”. This is to align it with the nomenclature changes as the Directorate of Children’s Service is now headed by the Secretary of Children Services. The second amendment seeks to clarify the provision."
