Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT Clause 181 of the Bill be amended– (a) by deleting the word “Director” wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word “Secretary”; (b) in subclause (2) by – (i) deleting the word \"permanently” in paragraph (c) (ii); (ii) inserting the word “family” immediately after the word “alternative” in paragraph c (iii) This is to align it with the nomenclature changes as the Directorate of Children’s Services is now headed by the Secretary of Children’s Services. In sub-clause (2), it is good to clarify that the “foster care” is not a permanent care. It is temporary. This is also to enhance clarity in sub-clause (c) (ii) and (iii). I thank you."
