Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 129 of the Bill be amended – (a) in sub clause (1) by deleting the words “be determined\" and substituting therefore the word \"expire\"; and, (b) in sub clause (3) by deleting the word “Director” in paragraph (d) and substituting therefor the word “Secretary”. The expiry of a guardianship is 18 years unless the court determines otherwise. We also want to align this clause with the nomenclature changes as the Director of Children Services is now the Secretary of Children Services."
