Sometimes, there is an effort to correct the genitalia, so that it is in line with the genes. What is in your genes is not exactly the same as the genitalia. You may be male but what we see outside is female genitalia or the other way round. Sometimes, there is need for medical intervention. I do not know whether you can call it mutilation at that point. Hon. Millie has put the advice of a geneticist. This means that in the case of intersex, there will be medical consultation before anything is done. That makes it better."
