Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 25 of the Bill be amended by inserting the following new sub clause immediately after sub clause (2) — “(3) The personal data concerning a child shall be processed only in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.” This amendment seeks to protect data concerning children. Personal data shall not be processed unless consent is given by a parent or guardian. All rights and obligations relating to data protection pursuant to the Data Protection Act, 2019, shall apply. This is just to protect the data we collect from children, how we use it, and how we process it."
