    "content": "I had the privilege of serving with him during the 8th Parliament, when he was the Leader of the Opposition between 1997 and 2002. When he was the President, I also had the privilege of serving with him as a Member of Parliament and his special envoy to the African Union and Somalia. This is a great man and leader Kenyans have lost. He was a pillar of stability. We are all aware of the things that he did for this country, ranging from free primary education, growing our economy, building stable infrastructure by ensuring that there are roads across the country and above all, making Kenya a liberal and open society with expanded democratic space. As you are aware, he was the leader of the Democratic Party of Kenya which you lead now. I lead the DAP- K."
