Within the reading of Article 106 of the Constitution on Speakers and Deputy Speakers of Parliament, you have not committed any crime by being a Member of the Kenya Kwanza Coalition; and the Leader of the Democratic Party of Kenya. Your removal is well stipulated in Article 106(2)(a)(b)(c) and (d), and all these allegations are not there. The procedure for the removal of a Speaker is known to every Member. Let me be very clear that in other jurisdictions, like in the USA, the Speaker of the Senate – which is the important House – is always the Deputy President or the Vice-President."
