Speaker, in this Statement, I will be proposing additional allocation to various activities under the Economic Stimulus Programme to further support livelihoods and stimulate economic activities. In this Budget, the Government will strive to: a) Enhance the role of the private sector in the economy, including financing infrastructure projects through the Public Private Partnership; b) Support micro, small and medium enterprises by facilitating access to finance; c) Invest in ICT and digital infrastructure to support the use of digital platforms to facilitate e-commerce and efficient delivery of public services; d) Promote and strengthen local and foreign resource mobilisation efforts to sustain funding of the identified development projects and programmes; e) Improve social-protection through targeted policy interventions and programmes; f) Promote local production processes and domestic supply value chains; and, g) Strengthen monitoring and evaluation systems for quality outcomes of the projects."
