I raised this issue in February, 2009, and the then Minister gave an assurance to this House that he was going to visit Bura, and that the problems that bedevil the mining industry in Bura were going to be something of the past. The Ministry did nothing and I raised again this issue in October, 2010; that was one-and-a-half years down the line, when the Assistant Minister, Prof. Kamar, was then compelled to visit Bura to give an assessment of what the mining of gypsum in Bura Constituency was like."
