I rise to ask Question No.101 of 2022 to the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government: (i) What measures has the Government put in place to mitigate against the recent spate of insecurity incidences experienced in Baringo County, particularly ensuring that the incidences do not escalate into communal conflicts? (ii) What immediate interventions has the Government employed to ensure that food and relief items are distributed in Baringo County, considering the ongoing drought that has severely affected the county? (iii) What humanitarian assistance is the Government intending to provide to persons who are internally displaced by the conflicts in the county, and in particular, the steps being taken to resettle displaced persons? (iv) What measures has the Government put in place to ensure that persons displaced by the rising water levels of Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria in Baringo County are resettled?"
