Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 6 of the Bill be amended by inserting the following new paragraphs immediately after paragraph (d)— “(da) determine the provisions to be made for capital and recurrent expenditure and for the reserves of the Board; (db) enter into association with other bodies or organisations within or outside Kenya as the Board may consider desirable or appropriate in furtherance of the purpose for which the Board is established;” The reason is that the proposed amendment seeks to provide additional powers to the Coffee Board of Kenya. The powers will further enhance the functions of the board."
