"content": "I believe as well that because of what Sen. Wambua has said, you have to have accurate information and data. In today’s world, it is possible to predict the weather. The weather and climate is not just a Kenyan phenomenon, and you can predict. If it can be predicted in one part of the world, it can then be predicted here. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I know something about the Metrological Institute of Kenya, which is somewhere on Ngong Road. That at one point was the foremost institute in East and Central Africa. That institution has been training meteorologists from many countries. Therefore, I believe that maybe, it is a bit laidback by now and they do not have the equipment. Therefore, I urge the Committee that is charged with this matter to go into that institution and find out the issues that Sen. Khaniri is raising, and brief this House. It is urgent. It should not be one of those things that will be protracted. It has to be dealt with urgently."
