I have looked at the memorandum of objects and reasons of this Bill, which are really great. One of them is to promote professionalism and address concerns regarding professional misconduct in the insurance industry, which has been happening for a long time. I know that most of us here have interacted with insurance salesmen who are not trained. That is why the uptake of insurance by Kenyans is very low. You cannot trust some of those salesmen. They come to you looking very hungry, badly dressed and they do not know the subject. It is high time we regulated them. This Bill has come quite late. Many professionals in this country are regulated. I know that lawyers, engineers, architects and quantity surveyors are regulated. We really need to support the Bill.
