Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule to the Bill be amended by deleting the proposed amendments to section 3A and substituting therefor the following new amendments− Delete and substitute therefor the following new section− Composition of the Council. 3A. (1) The Council shall consist of— (a) a non-executive chairperson appointed by the President and who shall─ (i) be a specialist medical or dental practitioner of good standing; and (ii) have at least ten years' experience, five of which shall be in a managerial position; (b) the Principal Secretary in the ministry for the time being responsible for matters relating to health, or a representative appointed in writing; (c) the Principal Secretary in the ministry for the time being responsible for matters relating to finance, or a representative appointed in writing; (d) the Director General for health or a representative appointed in writing; (e) six other persons, not being public officers, appointed by the Cabinet Secretary by virtue of gender, disability and The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
