"content": "Institutions should not be looked at through the lenses of those who are there at that particular time. I thought that was sad because we should have been given an opportunity to mourn and even talk about the Third President, who had been in this House for over 50 years. Therefore, it is very important that we have time for Senators to talk and agree on the timings that we have put. It will be the most unfortunate thing in this country for Senators like Sen. Orengo, who have been in Parliament for over 50 years to just disappear quietly. That cannot happen. We have People like Sen. Wako, the longest serving Attorney-General in the Republic of Kenya. Nobody is going to break his record. We also have Sen. (Prof.) Ongeri and “scoop” who is trying to make a point. We have many other Seniors, such as Sen. Madzayo the Judge, who has also been the Chairperson of the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) show in the Republic of Kenya. To just disappear like that is not acceptable."
