    "content": "Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Health on the state of healthcare services at the Garissa County Referral Hospital. In the Statement, the Committee should– (1) Investigate reports of rampant cases of preventable deaths at the facility due to negligence and derelict equipment in recent weeks. (2) Investigate and report on how the public funds allocated to the facility have been utilized in providing services or undertaking works from 2019 to date. (3) Outline targeted interventions aimed at improving service provision at the facility and ensuring the hospital is fully operational."
