"content": "4. State targeted measures, if any, in seeking sustainable solutions to the banditry attacks, stating whether communities in the area have been involved through public participation in seeking these solutions. Mr. Speaker, Sir, indulge me for a minute. This matter has been a serious issue in this area for many years. Last year, the Minister for Interior and Coordination of National Government accompanied by the Inspector General of Police tried to address this issue, but it has come back. Elsewhere in the country, we have seen the Government moving very swiftly to issue curfew notices and disarming people that are illegally owning guns. Here is a situation where for the longest time, every now and then, when there is a drought, our people living in almost the entire Mutha Ward are attacked by people who are herding camels. When these animals get into the farms belonging to the people of Mutha Ward and they try to repulse those animals, they are attacked or even killed. We want a lasting solution to this menace."
