    "content": "The debt issue which we have just processed is a threat to this country. It is something that we, as a country, need to have a discourse on. The fiscal deficit increases our borrowing appetite. 26 per cent of the proposed expenditure of Kshs3.3 trillion goes to the Consolidated Fund services which consist mostly of interest payment. Given the rising cost of dollar, payment will continue to strain our economy."
