    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance. First, I take this golden opportunity to thank the Almighty Allah for giving us this chance to be here today. I feel very humbled and privileged and I want to say a big thank you to the great people of Ijara for electing the first Somali woman to the august House. Hon. Speaker, again, I thank you in a big way. You have been a pillar in all what I have done in these five years particularly when I was in this House. I really appreciate the support you have given me and everyone else in this House. Thank you so much and may God bless you. I also want to thank the President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta. I thank him because he supports me in a very big way in terms of programmes and projects in my constituency, which I will not mention. His Excellency the President respects and accorded me the position of chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. I thank the Members of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources for the work we have done together."
