    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Clerk. It would be wrong for us to attempt to suspend the Senate when this is a Special Sitting. It is a special sitting to the extent that we have been invited here for a specific agenda. We have to discharge that agenda and in as much as many of us are willing to listen to his persuasion, he has to do it at the right time. Let us proceed and elect the Speaker. When the Speaker is in the chair, he will preside over the House. When the Motion is moved to elect a Deputy Speaker, he will be free to stand in his place and try to advance what he is trying to do. The country must know about his attempt to bring in the IEBC and that this culture of us refusing to respect constitutional institutions must come to an end if we want to uphold a Republic that we call Kenya. Mr. Clerk, you must deny him that opportunity to attempt to suspend the House."
