    "content": "The key objective or mission of the Policy is to facilitate the transformation of agriculture in Kenya from subsistence production to viable commercial enterprises. Truth be told, we are not truly farmers. We are survivors who plant food for our own consumption, which is hardly enough. In a country where about 80 per cent of the landmass is made up of Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) with erratic or no rainfall at all, it amounts to what we used to call in the movies “Mission Impossible”, as the Policy also mentions.
