    "content": " Hon. Members, I have something that is going to really interest you. It regards one of our own. It is the election of Hon. Timothy Wanyonyi Wetangula, MP, as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disability Network Africa Region. The National Assembly continues to engage in parliamentary diplomacy in its usual inter-parliamentary affairs at regional and international levels. In this regard, a parliamentary delegation recently attended the 2nd Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disability Network Africa Region Conference which took place in Dar es Salam Tanzania from Tuesday, 15th November 2022, to Thursday, 17th November 2022. The theme of the Conference was: “Parliamentarians and PwDs as Champions of Inclusion and Accessibility to Public and Private Sectors”. Hon. Members, the Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disability Network Africa Region is one of the networks within the wider Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). It facilitates activities and programmes to champion and increase the representation of persons with disabilities in Commonwealth parliaments.
