    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Welfare on the establishment and management of sports training academies in counties. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Provide detailed status report on the measures that the Kenya Academy of Sports has taken to establish and maintain sports training academies in counties following its establishment via Section 33 of the Sports Act and to comply with Article 6(3) of the Constitution that requires our national stage organ to ensure reasonable access to its services in all parts of the country. (2) Outline the structures that the Kenya Academy of Sports has established to aid in scouting development and promotion of talent in sports in counties. Mr. Speaker, Sir, can I make comment for one or two minutes?"
