    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I have known Lucy since her days as a young Company Secretary at the Kenya National Trading Corporation and I remember her in a very unique way. In 1991 as a university student, I walked into her office when she was Company Secretary, during the Kenya African National Union (KANU) regime. At that time, sugar licensing used to be a very important exercise. I explained what I wanted and without asking for too much details, she gave me a certificate to trade in sugar which earned me the first Ksh1 million. Hon. Speaker, that was in 1991. When, again, I found her here in Parliament, she continued her good work. Wwherever she has been, she has left an impact. We appreciate her. It is not the end of the world and I am sure in the next few years she will be very useful in other quarters.
