Speaker, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(a), I wish to give a Statement on behalf of the House Business Committee which met on Tuesday, 15th November 2022, to prioritise the business for consideration during the week. Hon. Speaker, on Tuesday, the House is expected to resume debate on the Motion regarding the publishing of rules and regulations for private land use and management in regard to the minimum and maximum land holdings. It is also to consider Sessional Paper No.1/2022 on the National Automotive Policy. We shall also prioritise the approval of nominees to the remaining NG-CDF Committees as information is received from the NG-CDF Board. Members will recall that yesterday, through a notification from your office, the process of vetting of nominees for appointment as Principal Secretaries by our departmental committees was suspended owing to a court order. Even as we wait for further direction from the courts on this matter, I would like to extend my gratitude to all our Members for their dedication and active participation in this process of vetting. I ask for their patience as the issue is resolved in the courts. The House Business Committee will reconvene again on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022 to schedule business for the coming week. I now wish to lay the Statement on the Table of the House."
