    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. It is indeed true that there is nothing in the Statement regarding the Motion by Hon. Mbadi on the proposal to set up a select committee. That matter came before the House Business Committee this week and we deliberated on it. Since the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs can discharge that mandate, the Members felt that it should take charge. There were also other Members who had a different opinion. The Chair of the HBC indicated that he would make a ruling on the issue after deliberations. That is why the Motion has not been lined up for any deliberation until we get communication from the Chair of the HBC. When we sit again on Tuesday, I am sure we will expedite that matter."
