    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Listening to the Assistant Minister, it is clear, from his answer, that no Environmental Impact Assessment was done. This is a requirement within the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) law. Why was this not done? This case is not only confined to Bura. It is also rampant in Western Kenya and Nyanza where companies are given prospecting licences but they go ahead and do mining, particularly, mining in gold in areas such as, Emuhaya, Kasipul Kabondo, Nyatike, Migori and Khwisero."
