"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I also join the Leader of the Majority Party in congratulating all the candidates who have managed to win the election. I thank the 27 candidates who chose to vie for these positions. I will single out my party candidate, Hon. Kennedy Musyoka, for receiving the highest number of votes from both sides of the political divide for the second time. That means he probably understands how to interact with people. I am very happy because he has individually demonstrated that it is not even about your parent. It is about an individual. That is why I am very happy about his performance. I want to mention one thing that I observed during this election that we may need to address going forward. When a number of Members were given opportunity to cast nine votes, they only chose to cast three or four votes. I also noted a tendency where some only voted for people from a specific region. My opinion is that in future, if you get nine ballots, cast all of them or your vote becomes a spoilt vote. It is very unfortunate because that is a way of undercutting other Members. It is important to note that if you vote for more than nine people, it becomes a spoilt vote. If you vote for less than nine people, it is also a spoilt vote. People should behave themselves and ensure that we vote for everybody. Thank you for the opportunity, Hon. Deputy Speaker."
