    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I wish to congratulate all the nine Members who have just been elected to represent us as Members of the East African Legislative Assembly. I know you all came from different parties and coalitions but at the end of day as you represent Kenya, you are one team. As you go and settle down to your new roles, please represent Kenya very well. I know that you all have capacities and capabilities. You were 27 Members fighting for these positions but you emerged victorious and winners. You belong to one entity called Kenya. I am sure that you are equal to the task. What happened today was a democratic process that determined who won and who lost but at the end of the day, all of you are winners because we have sent some to EALA and others will also have opportunities to serve Kenya in other capacities. This was an apex of democracy and I congratulate the team especially the Clerk of the National Assembly and his staff for managing it very well. I remember last time in the last Parliament, we were here until past midnight but I think that shows that we are actually maturing and things are gearing up well. As you take up your role in the new Assembly in EALA, I wish you all the best and God bless you."
