Temporary Speaker, I rise to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development the following question: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why the registered land and property owners and their agents as contemplated under the Land Registration (General) Regulations, 2017 are unable to obtain official searches as required under Section 34 of the Land Registration Act No.3 of 2012 that is required for any disposition of property? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why there has been inordinate delay in preparing and releasing official searches or certified copies of titles acquired and registered under the now repealed Registration of Titles Act (Cap 281), the Government Lands Act (Cap 280) and the Land Titles Act (Cap 282)? (iii) Could the Cabinet Secretary further explain why all properties registered in the Republic of Kenya, pursuant to Sections 7 and 8 of the Land Registration Act No.3 of 2012, are not uploaded in the online platform of Ardhi Sasa and when will the process be completed?
