    "content": "“Every person has the right to clean and safe water in adequate quantities.” So, it is important that we agree that the issue of water licenses should not be compromised. The other issue is about floods. When there is a lot of rainfall on the highlands, water flows and causes floods downstream which kill people. Sadly, there is no compensation. There is a need for Government compensation to the family of anyone who succumbs to floods because of the negligence of water management agencies like the Water Resource Management Authority (WARMA) and the National Irrigation Authority (NIA), which are under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation. There is need for them to put mechanisms in place that will ensure compensation of flood victims. This is the sad reality. There is no worst form of death than being swept by floods."
