    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, Wilson Kiprugut Arap Chuma died on 1st November, 2022 at the age of 84 in Kericho County, after a long illness. He was the first Kenyan to win an Olympic medal, where he won Bronze in 800 metres at the 1964 Tokyo Games. In the same year, he also ran 400 metres but failed to reach the finals. Wilson Kiprugut also made a breakthrough on the international stage after storming to the silver medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico. The following year, he clinched a bronze medal in the 880 yards at the Commonwealth Games held in Kingston, Jamaica. Later, he sealed a slot in the Kenyan Team that placed fifth in the 4,400 yards race at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, Australia."
