Temporary Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to this very important Motion by my one-time Secretary General of the Alliance Party of Kenya around 10 years ago. That is where the journey started. The SMEs in Kenya offer a very great opportunity for the majority of the Kenyan youth. The people who have been absorbed in formal employment in Government are around 700,000. There are millions of young people out there who lack jobs. The SMEs sector offers them a great opportunity, if only it is well organised. The call to have a unified policy on that area is a very welcome move. I believe this will also give an opportunity to the Government to net more tax.
