"content": "I congratulate those who have been nominated to serve in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC); Sen. Joyce Korir, Sen. Omogeni and my brother Sen. Kinyua, who I serve with in the Standing Committee on Energy. I know that you have what it takes. This entire life is about pairing our skills to the opportunities that are available. Where I come from, you cannot tie a heifer that is supposed to produce milk, on a plough to plough the fields. You cannot milk a bull because it has no milk. You are supposed to match your skill and abilities and the gifts God has given you, to the role. When I look at the people who have been proposed--- I will speak for Sen. Omogeni, Senior Counsel, for whom I have great respect. In the period that we have been here, he has demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the workings of Parliament; problems bedeviling MPs; and, issues between this House and the “Lower house” and how to resolve them. He has also demonstrated in-depth understanding of the constitutional questions and some of the answers that have been proposed. I have no doubt in my mind that we have made the right decision as a House, in terms of our representation to the PSC. Lastly, I am happy and will go to sleep a happy Secretary General (SG) and a Member of the Minority side. It is because the demons that I spoke of yesterday, have finally been exorcised."
