    "content": "Hon. Members, Standing Order 205A establishes the Special Funds Accounts Committee. The Committee is mandated to, among other things, examine the reports of the Auditor-General on specific funds established by a statute or by subsidiary legislation. These include the Equalisation Fund, the Equalisation Fund Advisory Board, and the Political Parties Fund. Paragraph (6) of the Standing Order requires the Speaker to publish a schedule specifying the funds falling within the mandate of the said Committees at the beginning of every term of Parliament or at such other time as may be appropriate. In addition, Standing Orders 206, 206A and 206B establishes the Public Investments Committees on Governance and Education, the Public Investments Committee on Commercial Affairs and Energy, and the Public Investments Committee on Social Services, Administration and Agriculture. Similarly, the Speaker is required, under the Standing Orders, to establish these three audit Committees and issue schedules specifying the state corporations falling within the mandate of each Committee, at the beginning of every term of Parliament or at such other time as may be appropriate. Hon. Members, in this regard, I wish to notify the House that today I have issued the required schedules specifying the funds falling within the mandate of the Special Funds Accounts Committee and the state corporations whose audit reports are to be examined by the three Public Investments Committees. I have also authorised the Clerk of the National Assembly to publish the schedules on the Parliamentary Website and to circulate them to the Chairpersons of the Committees for the convenience of Members."
