    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I support the Motion. I am a product of village elders. My father and father-in-law were village elders. They deserve recognition as they are among the few civil servants whose input is reflected in all the three arms of Government. For example, in the Executive, they carry out the role of disseminating information from the Government about education, health, environmental conservation and all that. Village elders are key pillars of the legislative arm of the Government. For instance, for Members of Parliament, who include Members of the National Assembly and Senators, they help a lot when it comes to the issuance of bursaries.
