In Article 230(4)(b) of the Constitution, SRC is mandated to: “advise the national and county governments on the remuneration and benefits of all other public officers.” In this Gazette Notice, the SRC Chairperson decided to remunerate herself. She allocated herself more money for mortgage and increased her salary while our workers and ECD teachers in counties are earning a paltry Kshs10,000. What can you do with Kshs10,000?"
