Delocalisation completely undermines performance because teachers are posted to areas where they do not want to go. I visited a secondary school in my constituency and had a conversation with the principal, who asked me why he was posted there yet I was not the one who did so. Teachers are demoralised because they are plucked off from point “A” and taken to point “B” without psychological preparation. We have to realise that teachers are human beings who have families.
