    "content": "Thank you, Mr Temporary Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations, regarding threats to the security of certain communities in Lamu County. In the Statement, the Committee should: (1) Investigate allegations of circulation of leaflets with messages threatening members of some communities in the county; warning the said communities to permanently evacuate the area. (2) Apprise the Senate on the plans the Government, through the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, has put in place in response to the current insecurity in the county with a view to arresting and charging the individuals threatening the peaceful coexistence of the communities. (3) Outline the measures that have been put in place, if any, by the Government to deal conclusively with the insecurity and cases of alleged terrorist attacks which have lately become rampant in Lamu County.
