Speaker, for the information of Members, during the recess, the Committee on Appointments is expected to undertake the vetting of persons who are nominated to the positions of Cabinet Secretaries, Attorney-General and the Secretary to the Cabinet, and table its Report on this matter when we resume regular Sittings. Further, the Committee on Selection will also consider the placement of Members in the various parliamentary committees. This will, therefore, be a working recess for those of us who sit in the Committee on Appointments and the Committee on Selection. I urge the House to be patient as these processes are ongoing and take the opportunity of this short break, as we said yesterday, to connect or bond with our families and constituents. Following the elections that we had, many of us have not had an opportunity to go back to our constituencies and families."
