    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for granting me this opportunity to address this House for the first time. It has been a long wait in the queue but at least my time has come. Before I make my contribution to the Motion on the Floor of the House, let me take this opportunity to thank the great people of Kanduyi for having elected me as their representative in this Parliament. It was a long journey and not a walk in the park. I must say I relied on the support of many Members of Parliament who came out to campaign for me together with all the people of Kanduyi. So, I say a big thank you. Hon. Speaker, at this juncture I must thank you most sincerely for being my mentor, teacher and party leader and for the role you played in getting me to this august House. It was not an easy assignment to remove my predecessor who had served in this House for four terms; 20 years and the party leader of Democratic Action Party-Kenya (DAP-K). I must thank the people of Kanduyi for the favour they granted me to represent them in this House."
