"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (1) to make a Statement on an issue of general topical concern and national importance, namely: Congratulations to Eliud Kipchoge for breaking and setting a new record in the world marathon held in Berlin, Germany, as well commend the exemplary performance exhibited by Amos Kipruto and Joyciline Jepkosgei at the 2022 London Marathon. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, Eliud Kipchoge won the 2022 Berlin Marathon on September 25 in a world record time of 2:01:09. This was 30 seconds faster than his previous world record of 2:01:39, set in 2018."
