    "content": "The people of northern Kenya are languishing in acute famine which has not been witnessed in generations. It is a matter of life and death. To be specific, as of last week, in Samburu County, there were almost 40,000 households in dire need of food interventions. We all know that famine is cyclic in the northern Kenya. We also know that next year and the year after that, there will be famine in that area. It is a shame that we stand on the Floor of this House and talk about acute famine yet there have been papers and strategic plans but very little implementation on the ground."
