"content": "Having said that, I want to pick up from where the President was speaking about this election. In my view as a Senator, they say “with great power comes great responsibility”. If we want this country to move on faster, the responsibility is greater on those who are calling themselves the victors than those who did not win the election. When the President comes to address the nation or to speak to parliamentarians the way he gave his first Address, it is our request and expectation that the President will demonstrate some magnanimity and some grace and remember that the election is behind us now. So, in my own opinion, he should be discouraged. Those of us who are his friends like, Sen. Cherargei, should dissuade the President from throwing in unnecessary jabs when he is speaking to the nation like the ones he was throwing during his Address to the Parliament on who was the opposition candidate and the Government candidate. It was unnecessary. We need to move on from this particular election."
