"content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Let me add my voice to those who said that the President’s Speech was the shortest in the history of Kenya. It was very brief. The content of the Speech was good, but there are issues that I am concerned about. Looking at paragraph 12 where the President drew the attention of the nation to how he was the opposition leader within the Government and how the former President became the opposition leader, to me, the President seems to still be in campaign mode. We need to see the implementation of the campaign promises that he made when he went around the country campaigning. He made promises during his campaigns and now it is time to work. Going specifically to issues, looking at paragraph 24, he talked about the saving culture. I would say that this is very good. It is not that Kenyans do not want to save, but poverty is the issue. Will people buy food or save when they do not have enough food to"
