    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is no attempt by any Member of Parliament (MP), elected or nominated, that will make us part of the Executive. Our duty as legislators is to hold the Executive to account. As Sen. Sifuna said, even when the Executive succeeds, this country succeeds. If and when the Executive fails, this country will fail. Therefore, there is no right or wrong in this Speech. Senators and Members of the National Assembly will interpret the Speech from where they sit. They will do what they must do to hold the Executive to account on their promises."
