    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, on the way forward, I believe that at the end of the day, we need to develop our economy using the local resources and I believe that there is a scope in that respect. I do not believe that Government money devoted on development is used properly. A lot of that money does not end up where it is required to have the desirable impact. Therefore, it is important to review our processes and methodologies to make sure that we get value for the money we vote for development. I would like to support this Bill in respect to essential goods. Price controls should not be done across the board. We are specifically talking about essential goods and there is need for an intervention to make sure that life is bearable for the majority of Kenyans. With those few remarks, I support this Bill."
